The International Rescue Committee (IRC), a non-profit, non-sectarian, 
voluntary agency providing assistance to refugees around the world, 
seeks Health Navigators (one each to work with newly arrived Afghan, 
African and Burmese refugees in Alameda). Duties: assist refugees to 
resolve immediate health issues in accessing health services and teach 
them to navigate the health system on their own; improve clients' 
understanding of their medical conditions and how to adhere to medical 
treatments; coach refugees in how to get the best medical help; teach 
refugees how to pick up medications, make medical appointments and 
use public transportation to pharmacies and medical offices; help resolve
